ESFC 2008 Results:
Provided referrals, programs and social service to 913 families
400 children received free school supplies
2,942 people requested financial assistance
347 grants were approved through the Saint Paul Foundation on behalf of families totaling $153,282
508 people were assisted by family center staff for housing issues
635 housing plans were completed
121 families were assisted in accessing county public benefits
Over 2,000 people participated in family center events

Program Goals: To help families become engaged and thriving community members; and to help families nurture healthy children who can achieve their full potential.

Community Parent Support Groups

1. Hmong Circle of Parents group meets the third Tuesday of the month from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at John A. Johnson Elementary School. Contact Sisavan Vang at 651-293-6688 for more information on how to join the group.
2. Latino Meet & Greet-meets the second Wednesday of the month from 6-7:30 p.m. at John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary School. Mary Anne Quiroz at 651-793-7340 for more information on how to join the group.
3. Meet & Greet at the Bluff-meets the fourth Thursday of the month from 5-7 p.m. at Dayton’s Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary School. Contact Jeanette Howard at 651-290-7071 for more information on how to join the group.

Friday Friends Early Childhood Pre-Literacy Program
Meets Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Early Childhood rooms at John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary School.

Advisory Committee

The ESFC has an Advisory Committee which meets quarterly. They decide what programming is happening during the year, evaluates programming from the previous year and deals with community issues brought forth by community members.
