Eastside Family Center 2008 Calendar

The Eastside Family Center is a parent-governed organization that works to connect families to their community. We organize classes, field trips and celebrations for families to enjoy themselves and to meet other families.

The Family Center:
• Reduces family isolation
• Increases access to services
• Increases parent participation with children in activities
• Increases parent participation in decision making
• Increases parent leadership in or community

Must RSVP at least three days in advance.

BOWLING PARTY –FREE
Saturday, March 1 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
St. Bernard’s Bowling Lanes Rice & Geranium Streets.
Must RSVP no later than Wednesday, February 27. No transportation

COMMUNITY BABY SHOWER-FREE
Saturday, March 8 10-11:30 a.m.

For new parents in the community. Join other new parents to build informal support, relax and have fun.
Must RSVP by March 7.

CRAFT NIGHT/RESOURCE FAIR
March-date, time and place to be determined.
Join in the fun of learning new crafts and finding out about resources in your community.

Monday, April 21 6-7:30 p.m.
Gather your talented family and friends and join us in the first talent show for the ESFC. Try-outs and schedule to be determined. Bruce Vento Elementary School.

MN ZOO TRIP
Saturday, May 17 10:00-3:00
MN Zoo Apple Valley-Bus transportation.

Thursday, June 5 4-5:30 p.m.
John A. Johnson parking lot and cafeteria. Join in the fun carnival games!

TEE BALL
June-July-August
Children ages 4, 5 & 6 may join our Bruce Vento, John A. Johnson or Dayton’s Bluff team for a summer full of Tee Ball skills and family fun with a family picnic at the end of the season and a game of kids –vs– their parents.
Must sign up by June 1.

FAMILY FIRST PICNIC
Saturday July 19
A fun picnic for the whole family sponsored by the Ramsey County Bar Association. Bruce Vento, Dayton’s Bluff, John A. Johnson Elementary School and Cleveland Junior High School families are invited to attend.

Tuesday, August 5
Join in the fun with your neighbors. Check with your District Council for more information.

CARING TREE
Month of August
School supplies for children entering grades K-12. Parents must volunteer at least two hours to qualify for free back packs and school supplies for their children.
