Business Investment Fund

Purpose:
To invest in structural improvements to commercial buildings in the Payne-Arcade Commercial District which create a positive impact for the neighborhood;

To stimulate the local economy through measures that modernize commercial properties for their highest and best use, improve energy efficiency and address health, safety and other code-related issues for commercial buildings.

Objectives:   

  • Stimulate private investment by providing gap financing;
  • Increase customer traffic by enhancing the image of the area;
  • Bring commercial buildings up to codes so that they can be fully occupied;
  • Promote business expansion and attract new business to the area.
